From Antwerp to Montreal via Amsterdam back to Belgium, Carina has had the pleasure to work with some of the most visionary creative teams within the arts & entertainment industry over the past 20 years. Her favourite creative projects she encountered when she was responsible for the artist support program at Cirque du Soleil but then again, steering the marketing strategies for the Royal Ballet of Flanders definitely got her into 6th gear. Recently she founded Over Here and as marketing specialist she now works to develop the paths of known and soon-to-be known artists and creative companies on the global marketplace. Originally from Australia where she took her first degrees in Fine Art and Law, Kathryn Smith subsequently moved to the United Kingdom where she took her PhD in Law from Cambridge university. She moved to Brussels in 2011. Kathryn is a qualified art historian and lawyer working as a curator and private adviser to corporate collectors and investors with a focus on art and design. With her husband Ike Udechuku she created Ampersand House in 2011 – a private home and gallery where mid-century design meets contemporary art and creativity. Sophie Clauwaert received her degree in Art History from ULB and went on to study Fine and Decorative Art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. She is now the Managing Director of ArtExpert, a private Art Consultancy company who assists people in the research, valuation, acquisition and selling process of their fine art and antiques. Founder and director of the Modesign Academy – the belgian school of fashion and management in design – Olivier Zeegers is passionate about creation and education, fields he discovered in La Cambre and the Institut Français de la Mode à Paris. Today, he teaches and develops tailor-made study programmes in those fields.
Nadya Kotova-Maesen, born and raised in St.-Petersburg Russia. Graduated from St.-Petersburg university with an economics degree, she received her second’s master in Arts and Heritage at Maastricht university in 2009, followed different art courses in Sotheby’s Art Institute in London and New York, worked at Gladstone gallery Brussels in 2011. Nadya has been running her own gallery (NK Gallery) in Antwerp since 2012. NK Gallery works closely with established Russian artists, living in Russia and abroad, whose works are distinguished by international public institutions and private collections. Underrated in Europe, though very active Russian art scene contains interesting investment opportunities for European collectors. The mission of the gallery is to stimulate intercultural dialogue and to create a bridge between Russian artists, local Belgian and global audience and collectors.
