Catherine is a Belgo-British artist. She was born in Liège, Belgium in 1983, and studied Fine Art Painting at the University of Brighton in the UK. She is now based in Brussels.
Her paintings vary from abstract to figurative styles. Her subject matter though, remains the same: The Human Body. She studies and illustrates the relationship between one’s inner body and outer body, but also the influence that one’s environment can have on the body. She is also very interested in the interaction of two different human bodies, seeing them as two containers of personal energy.
She finds inspiration for her visual compositions in everyday situations and local landscapes by sketching in public spaces. She captures her colour combinations from nature and architecture.
Catherine combines a great range of mediums and techniques (acrylics and oil paint, as well as drawing material and collage) to create space but also different textures within one painting.  
She has participated in group and solo exhibitions in Brighton, Barcelona and Brussels.
