Patrick ten Brink

Patrick ten Brink was born in Germany in 1966, and grew up in Australia , Japan and the UK . He settled in Brussels 10 years ago, after studies in the UK , France and Mexico.

One of his travels took him to Paris, where he became friends with an Israeli illustrator and a Japanese painter. Long conversations with the former and interminable pose-sessions with the latter, led him to understand the pleasure of painting.

The travels to Mexico helped him discover his love for colours, inspired by the beauty of the country and the force of Mexican painting.  Back in Britain, Patrick attended evening drawing classes in the Cambridge Arts Centre and painting classes in St Martin’s College of Art.

Today, he paints in Ixelles , during his time off from working on environmental policy. His paintings have been shown in personal and collective exhibitions in Belgium and Germany .
