Monika Macken

Born in Leuven, Belgium, painter Moninka Macken lives in Meise in the province of Vlaams-Brabant. Monika uses mixed media acrylic and found materials in her work. Of her inspiration Monika says,” I have no single source of inspiration, everything goes on in my mind. Having been a writer and poet myself, my inspiration comes from literature, from movies and from music. My paintings are abstract, with some figurative details. My colours are discrete and soft.”
